12v 50ah Baintech Lithium Powertop With DCDC
Lithium batteries provide more usable capacity than lead acid batteries. Deep discharging does not affect the life of a lithium battery the way it does with lead acid batteries. You can use the battery longer before needing to recharge, without damage to the battery.
Cost Effective Over Life Cycle
When considering the usable capacity and lifespan of lithium batteries, they work out cheaper than lead acid. When you add the cost and inconvenience of refitting new lead-based batteries every few years the total cost of ownership over the long term is far better with lithium batteries.
Lithium batteries are rated for 2,000 – 5,000 cycles and much more if used carefully, giving you several times the life expectancy of standard lead acid batteries
Lithium batteries allow you to pull far more amps out of the same size battery systems
Lithium batteries are less than half the weight of the equivalent lead acid battery.
Lithium batteries charge more efficiently, and don’t require as many stages during charging. Therefore, they will charge faster, and hold more of the energy from solar panels and other charging device
This goes with that…

What is dual DC-DC Charging?
With the DC-DC model of the Baintech Lithium PowerTop you can charge in two ways:
10A via Ciga Plug Connection or
20A Via Anderson Plug Connection for vehicle charging
How do I charge the PowerTop?
- Using the supplied Ciga lead, you will be charging at 10A when plugged in via your vehicle cigarette socket.
- Via supplied Tri colour Anderson plug extension lead, plugged into a dedicated 20A feed via Grey Anderson, direct from your vehicle’s main battery.
- External 240V Lithium Battery Charger (up to 20A) with Anderson connection via one of the three Anderson connections.
- Solar panel/blanket via regulated solar controller using the grey Anderson plug. Must be regulated. Maximum connected solar panels – 600W.
Standard Baintech 50Ah Lithium PowerTop Model is charged via a dedicated Lithium battery charger, external DC-DC, or via regulated solar charging via grey Anderson.
How much solar can I use to charge the PowerTop?
The maximum amount of solar to use with the PowerTop is 800 watts.
Is it waterproof?
The PowerTop is not waterproof. Whilst the battery is mechanically protected, the enclosure is not designed for a wet environment. Do not submerge the battery in water or expose the battery to direct water spray. Avoid exposing the battery to salty water spray and keep in a protected space.
How do I know if my battery is fully charged?
The Voltmeter will indicate the battery voltage. Use the below as an approximate guide.
100% – 13.4V
50% – 12.8V
0% – 10V
How long will it run my fridge for?
This will vary greatly on your fridge type; operating amp draw and varying heat conditions. Remember, it is best practice to keep your battery topped up, by putting more in than you are drawing out.
How do I charge my PowerTop at home?
You’ll need a 240V Battery Charger with a modified Anderson plug to connect to the PowerTop.
