No, due to the internal temperature of the engine bay, installing the battery in the engine bay is not allowed.
The largest inverter that can be used with the 110Ah Slimline range is a 1000w inverter.
We use Lithium Iron Phosphate LiFePO4 Prismatic Cells. This is the safest type of lithium available today, unlike lithium ion which is used in mobile phones or Lithium Cobalt. LiFePO4 is very stable and requires no maintenance.

Yes. A 30A Fuse is recommended. There are no internal fuses inside the battery so an external fuse must be used for the grey Anderson connector, 100A maximum, to ensure never to exceed the BMS 100A continuous charge and discharge rating. The cable to the blue Anderson connector should be protected by an external fuse (at least 30A, rated for the cable size), as close as possible to the vehicle battery/alternator.
Lithium LiFePO4 batteries can charge upto 2x faster than a typical lead acid battery. A general rule is to use a charge that is 30% the size of the Ah of the battery. A 100Ah battery will be ideally be suited with a 30a charger. You can use a lower amp charger but can’t go higher as you can damage the cells. Also double check the allowed range on the battery chargers specifications.
Ideally we recommend the battery be stored inside at the optimal temperature of 25°C. LiFePO4 batteries have a low self-discharge rate of 2% a month. Store the battery with around 50% SOC (state of charge) and top up the battery every 6 months, so the cell capacity does reach the depleted level. Studies have shown that storing LiFePO4 batteries at 100% SOC in high temperatures and fluctuating temperatures causes accelerated cell degradation.
