The new CTEK D250SA, 5-step charger, gives 4WDers the flexibility and ease of quickly charging up your service batteries from either traditional or smart alternators or from solar power. It will even give your starter battery a maintenance charge when your service batteries are fully charged.
Smart alternator compatibility
With many vehicles today featuring smart alternators that operate on lower voltage levels to improve fuel efficiency, it can be tricky to find a DC-DC charger that is compatible. The CTEK D250SA has been designed to work extremely well with smart alternators.
Special AGM function
The CTEK D250SA also features a selectable 14.7V for AGM batteries that need to be charged at a higher voltage, as well as a 14.4V option for other batteries.
Direct connection for solar power
An advanced in-built Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) will maximise the power from your solar panels and save you time and money since there’s no need for a separate solar regulator.
Temperature compensation
CTEK’s D250SA also features a temperature sensor that can compensate for either hot or cold conditions, virtually eliminating the risk of your battery overheating or overcharging, critical when you’re exploring the great outdoors.
The D250SA is a fully automatic, 5-step charger that supplies up to 20A of power to charge, condition and maintain any 12V lead acid service battery from 40-300Ah, including Wet, MF, Gel, AGM. EFB and Ca/Ca.
The D250SA uses patented technology so it’s safe for you and your vehicle’s electronics. It’s also IP65 classified (splash and dust proof, and suitable for outdoor use) and comes with a 2-year warranty.
The new 120A on board power management system
Your starter battery, service batteries and on board equipment are your lifeline when you’re heading on a remote off-road adventure and the new SMARTPASS 120 is a fully automatic, 120A on-board power management system that gives you full control over that power.
The SMARTPASS120 safely distributes power between the starter and service batteries as well as on-board devices, without the need for traditional diodes or VSR relays, and it’s just one of a number of smart features.
Dynamic Over Current Protection delivers a short 10-second burst of 350A output, for when you’re using winches that need more than 120A, to haul you out of a washout or ditch and get you back on the road quickly.
Current Source Priority supplies power to critical equipment like radios, emergency lights and communication systems directly from an alternator when the engine is running as a priority over non-critical functions.
Battery Guard makes sure that critical functions always have power and it protects your service batteries from total discharge.
Start Assistance lets you use your service batteries to start your engine if your starter battery is accidentally flat and gets you back on the road quickly.
The SMARTPASS 120 works with any 12V lead acid battery from 28-800Ah, including Wet, EFB, Ca/Ca, MF, AGM and Gel and is IP65 rated (splash and dust proof).
